Melbe Bryan Staley-Brinkley, 82, of Martinsburg, West Virginia, formerly of Lake City Florida, passed away, Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.
Born September 7, 1936 in Lake City, Fla. she was the daughter of the late, Mack and Mary Jane (Ellis) Bryan. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her first husband, Samuel L. Staley; second husband, William "Brady" Brinkley; one sister, Mary Ayers; one brother, Dock Bryan and a great grandson, Braxtyn Gabriel Staley.
In addition to being a homemaker she also was a medical records clerk for a private medical practice.
She was a member of the Lake City Church of God and an active member of the Living Waters Family Worship Center, Martinsburg.
She is survived by one daughter, Kathy E. Stagner (Patrick) of Martinsburg two sons, Samuel B. Staley of Shepherdstown, W.Va., Mack L. Staley (Gretchen) of Martinsburg; former daughter in law, Annette Staley of Shepherdstown; two sisters, Katherine Spradley and Annette Johnson, both of Lake City; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Pastor Rick Knight officiating.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8 P.M. and on Thursday one hour prior to the service.
