Michael E. Conway, Sr.
January 10, 1949 — February 28, 2022
Michael E. Conway, Sr., 73, of Hagerstown, went to be with our Lord on Friday, February 28, 2022.
Mr. Conway was born on January 10, 1949 in Trappe, MD, moving to Hagerstown as a young man. For many years, Mr. Conway was a chef at the former Venice Inn in Hagerstown, among other area restaurants, perfecting his love of cooking. He was an avid Washington Redskins fan as well as a fan of the Baltimore Orioles.
Mr. Conway leaves behind seven children; son Dante Hines, 56 of Easton, MD; daughter Michelle Conway, 49 of Hagerstown; daughter Keri Worrell of Raleigh, WV; son Michael Conway, II, 43 of Charles Town, WV; and daughter Brittany Conway, 32 of Hagerstown; as well as a host of grandchildren. Mr. Conway was blessed to see great-grandchildren during his lifetime.
He was preceded in death by two daughters; Monza Conway age 12 and Misty Conway at birth.
Mr. Conway had a strong faith with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, a relationship he cherished deeply.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 1 PM at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Pastor Jim Gross officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
Family will receive friends one hour prior.
