Michael D. Hart Sr.

Michael "Dave/Mike" David Hart Sr., 66, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed away on May 24, 2023 at his home.

Born on April 8, 1957 in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Orville Hart and Charlotte Marie Viola (Hovermale) Hart. He was a veteran of the United States Army Reserve for six years. Michael was an all around handyman and a devoted father. Throughout the years, he worked as a maintenance engineer, electrician, and security. He worked for The Washington County Hospital, Dynamark, Halfway Manor, Gateway Crossing, just to name a few. He enjoyed all things outdoors such as camping, fishing, hunting, going to the beach, and riding motorcycles. Michael had a love for good food and music, and playing the slots at Charles Town. He was a member of the Funkstown American Legion Post 211 and Amvets Post 10 of Hagerstown. 

He is survived by his twin daughters, Sarah Hamilton and Stephanie Seibert; and their husbands, Clarence Hamilton and Ashton Seibert. He was "Pappy" to five grandchildren, Carson, Nova, Asher, Draven and Tristan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Terry Hart, Teddy Hart and Ronnie Hart.

A memorial service will be held at The Salvation Army Church at 525 George Street Hagerstown, Maryland on Thursday, June 1, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to gather at 6:30pm prior to the service starting at 7:00pm.
