Mildred Catherine "Mickey" Saylor, 92, of Hagerstown, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Coffman Nursing Home, Hagerstown.
Born December 31, 1923 in Hagerstown she was the daughter of the late, Edgar Casper Rodgers and Edith Belle (Rankin) Rodgers. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her loving husband, Farrell Richard "Dick" Saylor; two sisters, Jane Getts and Louise M. Irving; three brothers, Edgar C. Rodgers, Jr., Marvin G. Rodgers and Kenneth Rankin.
Mickey worked in various retail positions throughout her life and was a homemaker. She was also a dedicated caregiver to her husband Dick for many years. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Hagerstown.
She is survived by her two daughters, Pamela Farrell Cole and husband, David and Stephanie Saylor Katz and husband Steven; four grandchildren, Ashlun Farrell (Katz) Kunka, Nicholas Simon Katz and wife, Tracy, Kellyn Saylor (Cole) Smith and husband, Matthew and Hannah Catherine (Cole) Smith and husband, William; two great grandchildren, Brady Keller Kunka and Austin Ryan Smith.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Friday, December 2, 2016 from 6-8 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown.
Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Mickey's name to Coffman Nursing Home (Activities Department), 1304 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742 or to the Alzheimer's Association, 108 Byte Dr. #103, Frederick, MD 21702.
