Mitchell H. Dodson went to be with The Lord Aug. 3, 2019.
Born Dec. 2, 1921 in Washington Co., he was 10th of James & Mary Nichols Dodsons 14 children and served in the Army Air Corp WWII.
Besides his parents, Mitch was preceded in death by his wife, Bette Griffith Dodson; infant son Mitch Jr; 7 sisters: Ottie Hammond, Marie Gearhart, Fannie Kauffman, Eva Diehm, Blanche Smith, Christina Markel, Carolyn Dodson; 5 brothers: James, Lloyd, Perry, Elmer, Jesse Dodson and nieces and nephews.
He is survived by brother, Walter R. Dodson; daughter, Mitcha Lisa and husband Allen Shay; son,Erin and wife Linda Rice Dodson; dog, Jetta and many nieces and nephews.
Mitch was a member of Ebenezer AME Church and American Legion Post 42 in Hagerstown.
A celebration of life will be at 1:00 at Rest Haven Funeral Home on Saturday Aug. 17, 2019. Viewing will take place at 11:00 a.m. Revs. Marbury, Jackson, and Pastor Nigh will officiate.
Donations in lieu of flowers to Ebenezer AME Church, Bethel St., Hagerstown.
