Myrtle Elizabeth (Allen) Carbaugh, 91, of Hagerstown, passed away Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010, at her home.
Born April 8, 1919, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late John Thomas and Fleda (Martin) Allen.
She was a 1936 graduate of Hagerstown High School.
She retired after 50 years as a superintendent and teacher of the kindergarten department of Grace United Methodist Church and as clerk at Pangborn Corp., after 10 years of service.
Myrtle is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Clyde E. Carbaugh; a sister, Florence Bernadine Blickenstaff of Hagerstown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Myrtle was also preceded in death by her brother, Regis C. Allen.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010, at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Clark D. Carr and Chaplain Sally Maxwell officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
