Nancy Diane O’Brien

Nancy Diane O’Brien, 60 of Hancock, passed away on October 26, 2023, at her home.

She was born on August 10, 1963, in Hagerstown, Maryland and was the daughter of Nancy (Jones) Baker and the late Nelson Baker. While primarily Nancy was a homemaker, she also worked at Bob’s Big Beef Pit, Southern Bell Truck Stop, and the Gateway. She enjoyed playing BINGO, watching true crime TV shows, and especially spending time with her grandchildren and attending family functions.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her four children, Jonathan E. O’Brien, Diana L. Barnhart and husband Bernie Barnhart III, Lesley A. Sugg and husband David Sugg and Donald L. O’Brien II and fiancé Brooke C. Ange; grandchildren, Adreanna and Devon O’Brien, Jennifer “Juju, Riley “Birdface”, and Melanie “Boogie” Barnhart, Myles “Little Peanut” and Lainey “Pistachio” O’Brien who is on the way; siblings, Elizabeth O’Neill and Nelson Baker; sister-in-law, Jeannie Ford “Sis”.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald O’Brien and brother, Sam Baker.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Friday, November 3, 2023, at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21742.

The funeral service will be held at 10am on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Rest Haven Funeral Home and interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
