Naomi (Jessie) J. Davis

Naomi J. (Jessie) Davis, 96, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. Born on March 11, 1928, she was the daughter of the late John Elmer Mellott and Nellie Belle Mellott. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Jay (Buck) Davis; brothers Carl Mellott, Paul Mellott, Elmer Mellott, Neil Mellott, and sister; Helen (Mellott) Posch.

Jessie was a member of Williamsport United Methodist Church in Williamsport, MD. She was a nurse at Washington County Hospital and Clearview Nursing Home for many years. After Buck’s retirement from the Maryland Correctional Training Center, they purchased and operated the Valley Candle Shop until retirement.

Jessie is survived by her sons, Greg Davis, and his wife Susan of Northumberland,England, Ronald Davis, and his wife Lesley of Salisbury MD. Grandsons Alexander Davis and his wife Fiona, William Davis and his partner Jessica, Benjamin Davis and his fiancée Hallee, and Daniel Davis. Two great grandchildren Hank Davis and Nancy Davis.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Cemetery, 1601 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21742.
