Nellie Virginia Cable

Nellie Virginia Cable, 79, of Hagerstown, passed away, Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at Ravenwood Nursing Home, Hagerstown.
Born October 16, 1935 in Hancock, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Ethel (Divel) Miller. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, John J. Cable; nine siblings, Glenn, Ernest, Charles, John, Elmer, Thomas and Frances Miller, Clara Free and Wanda Raynor.
Mrs. Cable was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, Hagerstown. She also was an avid bridge player and enjoyed dancing.
She retired from Ewing Oil, Hagerstown, where she worked in payroll and scheduling.
Mrs. Cable is survived by four children, Diane Cable of Santa Barbara, CA, Karen Kneisley of Brandenton, FL, Richard Cable of Leland, NC and Jeffrey Cable of Santa Barbara, CA; four sisters, Mary Henson of Hagerstown, Rebecca Hovermale of Williamsport, Edna McGowan of Hagerstown and Helen Leberknight of Chambersburg; five grandchildren, Renee Cable, Sarah Thornton, Jessica Cable, Ben Cable and Anna Cable; one great-grandchild, Tristan and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Deacon William Nairn officiating.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 6-8 P.M.
