Nevin Miller Shank II, 66, of Hagerstown, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at home, surrounded by loved ones.
Born August 6, 1949 in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Nevin Miller and Rosalyn Marie (Daugherty) Shank. In addition to his parents, Nevin also was preceded in death by one sister, Irvalyn Karen Shank Ridenour and two brothers, Larry Daugherty Shank and Nevin Wayne Shank.
Nevin was a 1967 graduate of North Hagerstown High School.
He worked on the Shank Family Farms as a dairy farmer almost all of his life and was also employed with Grove Manufacturing Company before retiring in 2000.
His two favorite hobbies were his 1967 Chevelle Super Sport, which he loved to drive, race and display at car shows and his German Shepherd Dogs.
Surviving family members include his wife of 47 years, Joyce Barr Shank; one daughter, JoAnna Katherine Shank; one sister, Teresa Shank Stephens of Virginia; one brother, Garry Benjamin Shank of Hagerstown and several cousins, nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Rev. Michael Seger officiating.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 6-8 P.M.
