Norma J. (Musey) Holliway, lovingly known as "Ginger" by those close to her, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2015.
Born February 19, 1942 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Norma (Smith) Musey.
Ginger was a 1960 graduate of North Hagerstown High School before furthering her education with a BS Degree from Towson State University, currently known as Towson University. She also received a Masters degree in Special Education from Loyola University in Baltimore. Ginger utilized these degrees as a special education teacher and later as an administrator in the Baltimore County School System.
Ginger was a devoted Baltimore Raven's fan and a season ticket holder.
She is survived by her loving husband, William E. Holliway, whom she married February 3, 1967. They were approaching 48 years together. In addition to her husband, she is also survived by a brother-in-law, Robert Holliway and wife Jean of Hagerstown; a cousin, Edward Thomas of Philadelphia; a nephew, William Holliway and wife Hanna of West Dover, PA, and their children, Lilly and Charlotte; a niece, Andrea Holliway of Greencastle, PA; her long term caregiver and true friend, Traci Bannon Frederick; special friend, Shirley Grams; caregiver and friend, Misty Young, all of Hagerstown. Ginger will also be missed by her loving dogs, Turk, Tori, and Jojo.
It was Ginger's wishes to not have a viewing and to have a brief memorial service. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00pm on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with Chaplain Katherine Lippy officiating. Inurnment will be private.
Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
