Pamela Jean Slate

Pamela Jean Slate, 79, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed away on May 24, 2023 at Meritus Medical Center. She was the wife of 61 years to Charles Richard “Casey” Slate.
Born on December 24, 1943 in Texas, she was the daughter of the late David William and Eleanor (Barrett) Barnhart. Pamela worked numerous jobs but her longest and favorite was with Lonza Bio-Science in Walkersville. She retired from Lonza in 2014 after 22 years.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Charles Richard “Chuck” Slate II and Keira Solanki and husband Manoj; her beloved grandson, Joshua Solanki; her sisters, Paula Barnhart Coughlin, Deborah Barnhart and Cheryl Barnhart Socks and her nephew, Robert Socks and wife Diana. 
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Kristin Lynn Slate.
