Patricia "Pat" Barrett Brown, 80, of Shepherdstown, formally of Greenbelt, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2017.
Born July, 31, 1937 in Syracuse, NY., she was the daughter of the late Lawrence J. and Estanna M. (Boyce) Barrett.
She was co-owner of Rest Haven Cemetery and Funeral Home in Hagerstown and also co-founder of Baby Basics of Greater Hagerstown.
Pat retired from the Frederick County Health Dept. as a public health nurse.
She was a long time member of First Christian Church in Hagerstown, attended the Shepherdstown Presbyterian Church, and was a member of the Mecklenburg Garden Club. She also belonged to local book clubs.
Pat is survived by her husband, Charles S. Brown; one son, Eric Brown and wife Ana of Shepherdstown; four brothers; two sisters; three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 2:30PM at Shepherdstown Presbyterian Church, 100 W. Washington St., Shepherdstown, with Rev. William V.P. Sitterley officiating.
Burial will be private in Rest Haven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Pat's name to, Baby Basic's of Greater Hagerstown, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave, Hagerstown, MD 21742, or to Hospice of the Panhandle, 320 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25443.
