Patrick Jay Grogan

Patrick Jay Grogan, 63, of Hagerstown, passed away, Sunday, January 26, 2014 at his home.
Born March 17, 1950 in Hagerstown he was the son of, George A. "Ted" Grogan of Hagerstown and the late Nancy S. (Clagett) Grogan.
Mr. Grogan was a US Army veteran with the 357th Transportation Company.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Hagerstown and the Morris Frock American Legion, Post No. 42, Hagerstown.
He retired as a civil engineer for Associated Engineering and Sciences, Inc., Hagerstown.
Patrick enjoyed the outdoors, bird watching, fishing, the beach and was an avid artist.
In addition to his father he also is survived by his step mother, Lois Grogan; two sons, Jeremy C. Grogan and wife Dana of Port St. Lucie, Fla. and Jesse C. Grogan and wife Betty Jo of Ft. Pierce, Fla.; three siblings, Gary W. Grogan and wife Karen of Dallas, Ga., D. Suzanne Grove and husband Tom and Shawn T. Grogan, all of Hagerstown; three grandchildren, Justin Owle, Jeffrey Grogan and Lexi Weist; three nieces, Allison S. Grove, Melissa L. Boschen and Mandi Grogan and many special friends.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Pastor Jim Davies officiating.
Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8 P.M.
