Paul I. Showe Jr., "Too Tall” 77, of Mercersburg, Pennsylvania passed away, Saturday, September 21, 2024, at the Chambersburg Hospital in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania surrounded by loved ones.
Born September 15, 1947, in Hagerstown, Maryland, he was the son of the late Paul Showe Sr., and Mary Elizabeth (Finkey) Showe.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 6 brothers, and 1 sister.
Paul lived his life as a professional truck driver and retired as a school Bus driver. A true avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Elvis Presley. He thoroughly enjoyed watching the Steelers play and Elvis Presley movies. He also found enjoyment in playing pool and bowling. A proud member of the American Legion Post 517 and Moose Lodge 1790 both in Mercersburg, PA, Paul cherished the camaraderie found within these organizations. He actively participated in their activities, forming bonds with fellow members.
He is survived by 5 children, Regina Staubs of Martinsburg, WV, Mary Turner (Gary) Martinsburg, WV, Paul Showe III (Michele) of Hagerstown, MD, Toni Showe of Martinsburg, WV and Dale Showe, Big Cove Tannery, PA, 2 sisters, Suzanne Brummage of Keedysville, MD and Marlene Jackson of Hagerstown, MD., 7 grandchildren, 8 Great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown, Maryland. Following interment at Rest Haven Cemetery.
