Paul Turner Hamilton, 87, of Hagerstown, passed away, Sunday, April 19, 2015, at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown.
Born August 27, 1927 in Sample Manor, Maryland, he was the son of the late, John and Stella (Weatherholt) Hamilton. In addition to his parents he also was preceded in death by 2 sons, Gary and Greg Huntzberry; 1 granddaughter, Sara Hamilton; 1 sister, Laurel Mamie Crane; 3 brothers, John, Roy and Joe Hamilton.
Mr. Hamilton formerly attended the First Brethren Church, Hagerstown.
He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War and served in the reserves for a total of 12 years from 1952-1964, he served as a corporal with Company B, 151st Engineering Battalion.
Mr. Hamilton worked at the Hagerstown Rubber Co. and retired from Shenandoah Pride Dairy.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Mary L. (Ponton) Hamilton; son and caregivers, H. Timothy Hamilton and wife Robbin; 7 grandchildren, Scott, Angela and husband, Ted, China and husband, Luther, Timothy Paul and fiance, Kelly, Dechelle, GJ and Joey; 1 brother, Lloyd Hamilton and wife Louise; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 12:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery where military honors will be accorded by the Maryland National Guard Honor Guard.
Friends will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to services.
