Helen "Peggy" Jeanette (McCarney) Price, 88, of Hagerstown, died Sunday, February 9, 2020 at Meritus Medical Center.
Born November 19, 1931, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Robert Kenneth and Mary Gertrude (Everly) McCarney.
Peggy was the wife of the late Larry Evers Price, Sr., who died in 1996. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Brown; a son-in-law, Milton Russ, Jr.; two brothers, William "Bill" Kiehl and Richard "Jim" McCarney; two sisters, Grace "Sue" Shaffer, and Patsy "Pat" Cosgrove. She was the last member of her immediate family.
She was a member of First Church of God in Hagerstown.
Peggy enjoyed bingo, playing cards, and word search puzzles.
Left to cherish her memory are four children, Joyce Price of Hagerstown, A. Mary Haggerty and husband Kim of Falling Waters, Peggy Russ, and Larry Price, Jr., both of Hagerstown; and seven grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with Pastor David Sword officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
She will be laid to rest beside of her late husband in Rest Haven Cemetery, following the funeral service.
