Penny Lynn (Brown) Mowen

Penny Lynn (Brown) Mowen, 62 of Hagerstown, MD peacefully passed away in her home September 30, 2023.  She was the daughter of the late David E. Mowen and Georganna Catherine (Timbrook) Mowen.

Penny is survived by her husband Paul Brown of Hagerstown, MD, a son James Shields of Hagerstown, MD, and two daughters, Anne Williams of West Chester, PA., and Katherine (Katie) Shields of Hagerstown, MD. Also, three Grandchildren of Hagerstown, MD, five Stepchildren, fifteen step Grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and a wonderful friend and Mother in-law, Annie Brown of Charles City, VA.

Penny is also survived by one brother, Mark A. Mowen and wife Mary of Walkersville, MD., and two sisters, Kathy A. Seburn and husband Donald of Hagerstown, MD and Lisa M. Bartell and husband Chris of Hagerstown, MD.  She was preceded in death by one brother James E. Mowen of Hagerstown, MD.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday October 7, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Rest Haven Cemetery 1601 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21742.
