Phyllis (Harrison) Riordan, 92, of Hagerstown, passed away, Sunday, July 5, 2020, at Williamsport Retirement Village.
Born February 8, 1928 in Llandegla, United Kingdom, (North Wales) she was the daughter of the late, John and Sophie Ann (Williams) Harrison. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Brian Mortimer Riordan; one son, Mark Riordan and one brother, Emyr
Phyllis retired as an accountant/bookkeeper for the Republic of the Marshall Islands Utilities Company. Phyllis volunteered with Breast Cancer support organization“ Y- Me”, and also with the Children's Literacy Programs. Phyllis put her knitting skills to use making new born receiving blankets and caps.
She was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Lappans Road, Boonsboro. The Funeral service will be graveside at St Mark’ Episcopal Church on Monday 13, 2020 at 10:30 a.m.
Phyllis is survived by two children, David A. Riordan and Jane Horning; six grandchildren, Matthew, Jonathan, Sean, Adrianna, Kathryn and Aaron and two great grandsons, Andrew and Oliver, and great granddaughter Kenleigh.
