Phyllis Jane Martin

Phyllis Jane Martin, 94, of Hagerstown, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, September 28, 2022.

Born in Gettysburg, PA on December 23, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Melva A. (Roth) and Willis E. Weikert.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard R. Martin in 1979.

She is survived by her daughter; Gina L. Poffenberger and her husband Eddie, and son; Samuel Martin and his wife Liza both of Clear Spring; Twin sisters, Nancy E. Becker, Patsy A, and brother Willis E. Weikert, Jr., two nephews and one granddaughter.

She was raised at St. Johns Lutheran Church, Hagerstown. She was very active at Bethel Assembly of God, Hagerstown and then New Life Covenant, Fairplay.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 11 AM at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.

Family will receive friends one hour prior.
