Richard Wayne "Dick" Mulligan, Sr., 80, of Hagerstown, passed away, Monday, July 4, 2016 at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon, Pa.
Born February 26, 1936 in Hagerstown he was the son of the late, Daniel F. and Edith L. (Gross) Mulligan. In addition to his parents he also was preceded in death by three siblings, Danny Mulligan, Bessie Drury and Kate Downs.
Mr. Mulligan had worked for the Jamison Door Company and as a bartender at the Hagerstown Moose Club.
He was a US Army veteran from 1954 until 1957 where he was a heavy artillery repairman.
Mr. Mulligan was a member of the VFW Post 1936, the L.O.O. Moose Lodge and the F.O. Eagles Aries 694, all of Hagerstown
He is survived by four sons, Danny Richardson (Jennifer) of Rockhill Furnace, Pa., Richard W. Mulligan, Jr. (Cissy) of Hagerstown, Barry Mulligan (Late Kevin Greiman) of Red Line, Pa. and Nick Staley of Hagerstown; three daughters, Kim Mason, Bonnie Harrell (Richard) and Angie Mulligan (Bret), all of Hagerstown; 14 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown.
Friends will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to services.
A reception will follow the funeral at the Funkstown American Legion, 12 N Westside Ave.
