Robert Edwin Sr. Beck

Robert Edwin Beck Sr., 91, of Hagerstown, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2011, at Fahrney-Keedy Home and Village.
Born Oct. 8, 1919, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late William Granville and Edna Adele (Baker) Beck.
He retired as the owner and operator of Carpets Inc. in Hagerstown.
He was a member of First Christian Church in Hagerstown and a charter member of the Exchange Club of Hagerstown.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Jean (Woodhead) Beck; a daughter, Jeanne (Beck) Perkinson of Houston, Texas; two sons, James Beck of McClean, Va., and John Beck of Hagerstown; a stepson, Gordon Keyes; 10 grandchildren, Aaron, Zach, Erik and Joanna Beck, Gracie, Kaylee and Sydney Perkinson, and Cameron, Sarah and Brian Keyes; and three great-grandchildren, Zoe, Tristan and Stina Beck.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth (Powles) Beck; a son, Robert E. Beck Jr.; a stepson, James Keyes; and a brother, William Beck.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon Friday, May 20, 2011, at First Christian Church, 1345 Potomac Ave., Hagerstown. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
