Robert Lee Hutzell, Sr.

Robert Lee Hutzell, Sr., 82, of Hagerstown, passed away Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Meritus Medical Center.
Born on November 2, 1939 in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Lela Mae (Leggett) and Charles William Hutzell.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter; Brenda Sue Hutzell, Sister; Beverly Munson and a Brother; James Hutzell.
Robert graduated from North Hagerstown High School, class of 1957.
He served in the U.S. Army Reserves.
He worked in Production at Certain-teed for 33 years until his retirement.
He was a 50 year member of Grace United Methodist Church. He was an avid sports fan and supported the Washington Football Team, UMD Basketball and the Hagerstown Suns.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Sandra Ann (Eyler) Hutzell, son; Robert Lee Hutzell, Jr. and his wife Catherine, Daughters; Denise Mckeon and husband Thomas, Teresa Smith and husband Troy, Twin Brother; Clarence "Thomas" Hutzell and Brother Charles Hutzell, Sister in laws; Lisa Beach and Donna Jean Plummer, 6 Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
Family will receive friends one hour prior.
