Robert N. Bob Chaney, II

Robert N. "Bob" Chaney II, 74, of Greencastle, Pa., passed away, Wednesday, January 1, 2020, at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown.
Born December 7, 1945 in Hagerstown he was the son of the late, Robert N. and Mina Jean (Montgomery) Chaney.
Bob was a 1963 graduate of North Hagerstown High School and was active with the class reunion committee.
In his younger years he had worked as an orderly for Western Maryland Hospital Center, a department manager for Eyerly's Department Store, a machinist and later in publication for Grove Manufacturing and most recently was owner and operator of Bob's Florist and Gifts in Greencastle.
Bob was Lutheran by faith and a member of the choir and hand bell choir. He loved wildlife, particularly, birds and had maintained a pond with fish on his property.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Carolyn L. (Kershner) Chaney; many cousins and his brother in law, Dr. Brian K. Kershner and his wife, Liping Wang.
A memorial service will be conducted on Friday, January 10, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Pastor Kevin Gift officiating.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday, one hour prior to the service.
