Roger Powell

On Saturday, October 22nd of 2022 Roger Keith Powell, 65, of Eatonton Georgia, was called home. God decided it was time for this solider to retire his time on earth, gain his wings and join his team in Heaven.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert Jr. and Mary Powell, his sister, Patricia Hoffman, a great niece, Tiffany Dockery, as well as many other relatives.

He is survived by his eldest brother, David Powell of Inwood West Virgina, and his older sister, Linda Busbee of Eatonton Georgia of whom he resided with.

During his lifetime, Rodger accomplished graduating high school from South Hagerstown High, class of 1975. He worked for WM Railroad and served time in the Air Force Reserves in Martinsburg West Virginia.

 Our hearts are heavy as we all say goodbye. Roger wasn’t quite sure of it being his time, however, God said otherwise so we are all sharing our last farewells and goodbyes. Until we see you again, solider, brother, and friend. Rest Easy Roger Keith Powell. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, October 28th, 2022, at Rest Haven Funeral Home 1601 Pennsylvania Ave. Hagerstown MD 21742 with pastor Josh Mclain officiating burial with military honors will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Friends and family will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
