Ronald Albert Cline

Ronald Albert Cline, 88, passed away December 21, 2024. He was the spouse of Emma Jane(Conrad) Cline. He was born April 10, 1936, in Washington, DC and later moved to Hagerstown. He was the son of the late Elmer Tracy and Ella Florence (Wilhide) Cline.

 He was a 1954graduate of Hagerstown High School and a 1958 graduate of the University of Maryland. He served in the US Army from 1959-65, during the Korean War. He married his college sweetheart in 1958 and they celebrated 66 years of marriage in July 2024. He was self-employed at E. T. Cline and sons as an IH/Case farm machinery dealer, retiring in 1994.He was a member of the First Christian Church in Hagerstown. He was an avid gardener and collector of antique clocks and radios.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters Kathryn Lynn Nally Baker (Gary) of Williamsport, MD and Cheryl Annette Hinds (Timothy) of Marietta, SC. He was affectionately known as “Aho” to 5 grandchildren and 1 step grandson. Lucas Hinds (Rachel); Michael Hinds(Abigail); Tyler Nally, (Paige); Emma Leigh Ernst (Jacob); Jessica Williams (Brad) and Tristan Baker. He adored his 12 great grandchildren, with 2 sweet little girls on the way. Danica, Embry, Scottie and Joshua Hinds; Gavin, Elliot, Layla and Micah Hinds; Blake Irene Nally; Malachi and Emmilia Gene Ernst; and James Williams. He is also survived by nieces Pat Geiman (Steve)and JoAnn Carroll (Mike) and nephews Berkley Conrad (Estella); Ronald Conrad and David(Emily) Conrad. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert W. Cline and a son-in-law, Gary E. Nally.

The family will receive friends at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Avenue., Hagerstown, MD from 10-11 am Friday, December 27, 2024 with the service immediately following.
