Ronald Eugene Reeder

Ronald Eugene Reeder, 78, of Hagerstown, passed away, Friday, September 1, 2017 at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown.
Born March 28, 1939 in Boonsboro, Md. he was the son of the late, Charles L. and Margaret L. (Smith) Reeder and step son of Evelyn Reeder of McConnellsburg, Pa.
Mr. Reeder was a 1957 graduate of Boonsboro High School.
He retired from the US Postal Service as a mail handler.
Mr. Reeder was a US Army veteran.
He was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Hagerstown; Longmeadow Lions Club; the B.P.O.Elks #378; NARFE; Maplehurst Country Club, Frostburg, Md. and Beaver Creek Country Club, Hagerstown; Seniors Bowling League at Turner's South Side Lanes and the Old-timers Baseball League, Cumberland, Md.
In addition to his step mother,Mr. Reeder also is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Patricia A. (Rohrer) Reeder; a daughter, Susan Ann Reeder of Ashburn, Va.; half brother, Michael B. Reeder (Tina) of McConnellsburg, Pa.; an aunt, Janet Otto of Delaware; sisters in law, Pamela Darden and Joyce Sheffler; nieces and nephew, Deanna Chapman (Chris), Bobby Darden (Katie) and Jessica Rohm (Brian); grand nieces and grand nephew, Sophia Rohm, Clyde Rohm, Remi Darden and Caylynn Felton and numerous cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 11A.M. at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 802 Summit Ave., Hagerstown with Rev. Randy Reid officiating. Private Interment will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 6-8 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 108 Byte Dr., Suite 103, Frederick, MD 21702 or to Emmanuel United Methodist Church (Memorial Fund), address above.
