Rose M. Shirk, 89, of Hagerstown, passed away, Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Hagerstown Health Care.
Born September 23, 1928 in Granite City, Illinois she was the daughter of the late, Otillio and Hattie (Sobeliski) Valencia. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her husband, Ret. Master Sgt. Roy M. "Skitch" Shirk, Sr.
Mrs. Shirk was a waitress having worked at Park Circle and Dutch Kitchen, both of Hagerstown.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hagerstown.
She is survived by her son, Roy M. Shirk, Jr. of Hagerstown; a brother, Raymond Valencia of Florida and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Rev. John Jicha officiating.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday one hour prior to the service.
