Roy Roger Wolf

Roy Roger Wolf, 69, of Hagerstown, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer. Roy made his home with his brother, Ron and wife Dee Wolf, who were his caretakers.

Born May 21, 1945, in Myersville, he was the son of the late Maurice Edgar and Ruth Elizabeth (Swope) Wolf.

Roy was a 1964 graduate of North Hagerstown High School.

He was a veteran of the United States Army during Vietnam in 1966.

Roy retired after 45 years in the printing business. He started at Double Day Printing for 25 years before they closed their doors and then went to work for Berryville Graphics for an additional 20 years.

Roy was a member of Emmanuel Chapel in Hagerstown. He loved football and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He also enjoyed NASCAR .

Roy is survived by his son, Tony Allen Wolf and wife Laura of Indiana; four grandchildren, Brooklyn, Katie, Adrienne, and Jude Wolf all at home; three brothers, Richard M. Wolf and wife Betty of Boonsboro, Ronald E. Wolf and wife Dee of Hagerstown, who Roy lived with for 2 years during his illness, Jerry R. Wolf of Greencastle; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three sons, Roger Dean Wolf, Roy Aaron Wolf, and Baby Boy Wolf.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00pm on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 in Rest Haven Cemetery, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with Pastor Jonathan D. Laye officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the Maryland State Honor Guard.
