Ruth Eleanor Foltz

Ruth Eleanor Foltz, 100, of Hagerstown, passed away, Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at Homewood at Williamsport.
Born October 8, 1916 in Danville, Virginia she was the daughter of the late, George Albert Grogan, Sr. and Bessie Emma (Scearce) Grogan. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Martin L. "Marty" Foltz, Jr. and one sister, Norma Lenney.
Mrs. Foltz was a sales person for Hennebergers Gift Shop, Hagerstown.
She was a charter member of Haven Lutheran Church, Hagerstown and a life member of Beta Sigma Phi Alpha Master Sorority; Business Professional Women's Club and a long time member of the Alsatia Club.
Mrs. Foltz is survived by one sister, Tess Summers and one brother, Ted Grogan, both of Hagerstown; one niece, Suzanne Grove; three nephews, Christopher Cline, Gary Grogan and Shawn Grogan.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, July 10, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Rev. Linda M. Allessandri officiating.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday one hour prior to services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ruth's name to Haven Lutheran Church, 1035 Haven Road, Hagerstown, MD 21742 or to Homewood at Williamsport, (Activities Fund) 16505 Virginia Ave., Williamsport, MD 21795.
