Ruth Lucille Davis

Ruth Lucille "Lucy" Davis, 90, passed away Monday, April 5, 2010, at Homewood in Williamsport.
Born in Hagerstown on Nov. 12, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Grover O. and Ruth M. (Stoler) Boyer.
She retired from Anderson Dry Cleaners in Hagerstown and was a member of Auxiliary VFW Post 1936.
Known as "Lucy" by friends, she enjoyed reading, playing crossword puzzles and caring for her beloved cat, Frisky.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Grover O. Boyer, John M. Miller and Martin L. Miller, and companion George Wilkenson.
Ruth is survived by her lifelong friend, Velma (Bib) Knode, and caregiver Judy Shank, of Hagerstown.
A memorial service will be held at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, on Thursday, April 8, 2010, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Jeff Shull officiating.
Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
