Sandra Rae Higgins

Sandra Rae Higgins, age 73, passed away on October 3, 2024, in West Palm Beach, Florida. Born on July 9, 1951, in Nebraska to Madeline and Duane Higgins, Sandra was known for her insatiable quest for knowledge and her deep faith.

She earned her bachelor’s degree from Andrews University and went on to receive her master’s degree from Palm Beach Atlantic University. In recent years, she found a loving community at the River West Palm Beach Pentecostal Church, where she attended religious classes and embraced her faith.

Sandra is survived by her sister, Karen Higgins Henry, and brother-in-law, Bill Henry. She cherished her role as an aunt to her niece Ashley Waddington Vanerio (Francesco, Liv, Liza, and Gemma) and her nephews Brent Waddington, Bill Henry (Emily, Ella, Will), and Robert Henry (Erin, Logan, Mason, Morgan). She also leaves behind her stepsisters Maredith Palmer Torres, Patricia Palmer Poland, Donna Palmer Horton (Bruce), Joyce Palmer Lytton, and Debbe Palmer (Toland Sand); stepbrother, Bud Palmer.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on November 6, 2024, at Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown, Maryland.
