Sandra Hutzell

Sandra Ann Hutzell, 80, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, April 16, 2023. She was the wife of the late Robert Lee Hutzell Sr.

Born on January 23, 1943 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Vance and Catherine (Delauter) Brumbaugh. Sandra was a graduate of North Hagerstown High School and was a long time member of the Grace United Methodist Church. Sandra was a homemaker, her love for her family was unmatched. She cherished each opportunity to decorate for the holidays or share in family get togethers. She was a true giver at heart, always selflessly caring for others. She also enjoyed and was a talented ceramic painter, often gifting her treasured pieces.

She is survived by her children, Denise Mckeon and husband Thomas, Robert Lee Hutzell Jr. and wife Catherine, and Teresa Smith and husband Troy; sisters, Donna J. Plummer and Lisa J. Beach; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband of 60 years and her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Sue Hutzell.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 11am at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown, MD. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
