Sara A. (Seaverns) McInnes, 62, of Hagerstown, passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at her home, while surrounded by her loving family.
Born December 8, 1955, in Ft. Lauderdale, FL., she was the daughter of the late Earle and Sally (Sawyer) Seaverns. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Don Seaverns, who died in 2005.
Sara retired after 28 years of employment with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
She was a former volunteer with Deafnet and the International Association of the Deaf.
Sara is survived by her husband of 11 years, George Eric McInnes; a daughter, Sally Esser; two granddaughters, Abby and Kaela; a brother, Dave Seaverns; a sister, Anne Seaverns; a close friend, Joan Luhouse; and her faithful dog, Tippy.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagersrown. The family will receive friends one hour prior.
