Savannah Isabell Wynkoop, 90, of Clear Spring, went to be with the Lord Friday, July 1, 2011, at Western Maryland Hospital Center.
Born Jan. 22, 1921, in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Bernard and Bessie Catherine (Wolford) McCauley.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Hagerstown and a member of the choir.
Savannah retired from E.J. Fennel as a seamstress, where she worked for more than 30 years.
She was a member of the VFW and the American Legion Southern Bells.
Savannah loved singing, sewing and sending cards to people.
She is survived by two daughters, Reva Isabell Largent of Clear Spring and Charlotte E. Line of Hagerstown; two stepsons, James Walter Wynkoop Jr. of Greencastle, Pa. and David Wynkoop of Hagerstown; three stepdaughters, Jamie Larue, Joan Hawn and Sharon Penneson; and adopted grandson, Malcolm Hager of Clear Spring. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are a brother, Eugene McCauley; and sisters, Florence Whipp, Peggie Shupp and Pearl Leggett.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with Pastor Thom Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends and family will be received Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
