Stanley Lee "Hank" Mann, 84, of Boonsboro, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Meritus Medical Center.
Born January 3, 1934, in Virginia, he was the son of the late Louis T. and Mary A. (Fry) Mann.
In addition to his parents, Stanley was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 44 years, Linda Sue Mann, who died on February 13, 2018; his father-in-law, Silas S. Griffith; a brother, Gene Mann and several of his close friends.
Stanley was a member of The Good Shepherd Ministries. He was always heavily involved in church, where he used to play bass guitar. He was a former Royal Ranger leader as well as a former member of the Boonsboro Ambulance Company. Stanley also enjoyed playing baseball in his earlier years.
He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Stanley retired from General Motors after 21 years of service.
Stanley is survived by his three sons, Jason Mann and wife Annette, Jeremy L. Mann, Jordan L. Mann; four brothers, Roy, Rex, Whitney, and Glenn Mann; a sister, Mary Alice Sigler; his mother-in-law, June I. Griffith; a sister-in-law, Jennifer I. Stultz, and her family; a sister-in-law, Eloise Mann; close friends, Bill Bachtell and Steve McCullough; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at The Good Shepherd Ministries, 19763 Longmeadow Rd, Hagerstown, with the Reverend Steven McCullough and Reverend Kenneth Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Boonsboro Cemetery at 1:00pm.
The family will receive friends at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 PA Ave., Hagerstown from 6-8pm on Wednesday.
