Susan Ruth Stealey, 75, of Hagerstown, died on Friday, November 22, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family and family friend, Janet Purdie.
Born September 2, 1938 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Donald Vincent, Sr. and Mary (Nelson) Schlimme.
Susan retired from the Seagram's Distillery in Dundalk Maryland as a line leader.
She enjoyed housekeeping and yard work.
Susan is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, David Louis Stealey, Sr.; three sons, David Louis Stealey, Jr. and wife Mary of Hagerstown, Shaun Stealey and wife Linda of Tampa, FL, Richard Stealey and wife Becki of Nicholasville, KY; four grandchildren, David Stealey, III of Edgemere, MD, Erin Stealey of Doyelstown, PA, Patrick Stealey of Lexington, KY, and Kevin Stealey of Greensboro, NC.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Dr. Donald Vincent Schlimme, Jr.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00pm on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Inurnment will be private.
