Telicia Umeca Nichols, 44, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Meritus Medical Center.
Born in Washington D.C., on October 6, 1973, a daughter of Wilma and Tyrone Glover of Hagerstown. Telicia graduated from Bladensburg High School High School, class of 1991. She later received her Bachelors degree from Strayer University. She worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigations for 26 years. Telicia was the recipient of 20 awards during her 26 years career, to include: 1 Commendation award, 02/20/1998, 6 Cash awards, 08/13/1999, 09/26/2008, 03/30/2011, 08/01/2012, 07/30/2014, 07/26/2015, 13 Time off awards, 08/02/2002, 09/30/2003, 10/06/2004, 07/18/2007, 03/03/2008, 02/26/2009, 01/31/2012, 02/23/2012, 02/26/2013, 04/28/2014, 04/17/2016, 07/10/2016, 05/28/2017. Telicia was always elated to sing in the choir at her school and church at Little Rock Church were she grew up in. She also volunteered as a teacher during vacation bible study. Telicia loved mentoring children in a program with her job at the FBI. She loved shopping and reselling clothes, collecting Barbies, planning events, a love for entrepreneurship, but her main love was her family and her kids, Dashawn and Zackell. In addition to her parents Wilma and Tyrone Glover, Telicia is survived by her husband, Mathew Nichols; in laws, Jacqualine and Guy Nichols; Two Sons, Dashawn Gilliam and Zackell Harmon; 2 Step children Mathew Nichols II, and Bryanna Nichols; 1 Grandmother who proceeded her in death Dorothy Jean Artis; 1 Grandfather who proceeded her in death George E. Crews; 1 Grandmother Laura Faulk-Flowers; 1 uncle Robert Faulk (Marie Faulk); 2 Aunts Shirley Holloway, and Sandra Williams (Jimmy Williams); 3 siblings Tyree Glover-Knott (Tyrone Knott), Shironda Craig (Robert Smith), and Rodney Glover; 6 nephews and 1 niece, Tyrone Knott Jr., Tyrell Knott, Tyshaun Knott, and Tyliah Knott, Robert Smith Jr., Rodney Glover Jr, and Francis Denton; Special cousin Samara Holmes; close co-workers Zelda Hodges, Scott Ross, and Robyn Anderson. Telicia funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday March 31, 2018 at Rest Haven Funeral Home, Inc. 1601 Pennsylvania Ave Hagerstown, MD, with Pastor Ricky Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. Visitation will be an hour before at the funeral home.
