Teresa Irene (Sprecher) Pheil, 84, of Hagerstown, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Meritus Medical Center.
Born July 14, 1932, in Hagerstown, she was the only daughter of the late Frank B. and Myron A. (Larrick) Sprecher.
Teresa was a 1950 graduate of Hagerstown High School.
She worked as a crossing guard for the Hagerstown City Police and retired as a bus driver for the Washington County Board of Education.
Teresa was a 59 year member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, joining in 1958. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, camping, and fishing. She was an avid Disney fan and had a special love for horses. She was a history buff and good with trivia.
She is survived by her three children, daughters, Terri Lee Pheil and Nina Susan Sandeen; and son, Jeffrey Francis Pheil and spouse Dixie Merrbaugh; two grandsons, Jeffrey F. Pheil, II, and Kenneth F. Pheil; and a great-grandson, Keegan Francis Pheil.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Francis Zane "Rusty" Pheil, who died Feb. 9, 2014; and a grandson, Dwight Lynn Sandeen.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, April 29, 2017 in Rest Haven Cemetery, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown.
