Terri Lee Pheil, 65, of Hagerstown, passed away, unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, December 9, 2017.
Born August 21, 1952 in Hagerstown she was the daughter of the late, Francis Zane "Rusty" and Teresa Irene (Sprecher) Pheil. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by a nephew, Dwight Lynn Sandeen.
Terri was a 1970 graduate of South Hagerstown High School where she was an avid artist having a sketch displayed in the Washington County Museum of Fine Art. She then attended and graduated from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science with a BS degree in Pharmacy in 1975, where she was on the rifle team and achieved marksman 1st class.
She worked for 36 years as a pharmacist where she retired in 2011 from CVS in Hagerstown. She also worked at Chatkins Pharmacy of Hagerstown and Hancock Pharmacy.
Terri was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Hagerstown; she also was a member of the American Legion Post 211 Ladies Auxiliary, Funkstown.
Terri loved traveling with her family to Las Vegas, New York City and had a lifelong love of horses. She along with her sister visited a dude ranch in Wyoming three times.
She is survived by two siblings, Nina Susan Sandeen and Jeffrey F. Pheil and wife Dixie Merrbaugh, all of Hagerstown; two nephews, Jeffrey F. Pheil, II and Kenneth F. Pheil and Sara Hudson; one great nephew, Keegan F. Pheil; her life long friend, Pandy Pratt (Reed) and her beloved cat, Miz.
A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Rev. Elizabeth Jackson officiating.
