Thelma Louise Watts

Thelma L. (House) Watts, 91, widow of Roy T. Watts, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Homewood of Williamsport.
Born December 24, 1923 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Howard L. and Kathryn (Hoover) House.
Thelma was a 1940 graduate of North Hagerstown High School.
She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church and a life member of B.P.O.Elks #378, both of Hagerstown.
She was in the real estate business for 32 years and was part owner of the Maryland General Realty Co. Thelma was an awarded and distinguished Realtor of the year.
Knitting, crocheting, playing cards, dominos, and bingo were some of her favorite hobbies. Thelma loved traveling in the States and abroad. She had also played the clarinet in the YMCA Band which performed for F.D.R. She had also played in the Otterbein Sunday School Orchestra.
In addition to her parents, Thelma was also preceded in death by 1st husband, Martin L. Neal and her 2nd husband, Roy T. Watts, who passed away December 7, 2003.
She is survived by a son, Martin R. Neal of Big Pool; a daughter, Angela Neal Burns and husband Jim of Hagerstown; a brother, Stanford L. House of Wilmington, DE; a sister, Julia Ann Padian of Glendale, AZ; a granddaughter, Jennifer Scibilia; and a great-granddaughter, Sierra Scibilia.
A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, December 24, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Dr. Stephen D. Robison officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742.
