Utha Jane Glenn

Utha Jane Glenn, 95, of Hagerstown, entered the presence of her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born April 2, 1927, in Smithsburg, Md., she was the daughter of the late, Keiffer Daniel and Lola Catherine (Misner) Leiboldt. In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by her loving husband of nearly 75 years, Edward Ralph Glenn, Sr.; one son, Staff Sgt. Edward R. Glenn, Jr. (Vietnam); three brothers, Keiffer D. Leiboldt, Jr., Earl S. Leiboldt and Robert L. Leiboldt; three sisters, Catherine Miller, Pauline Kent and Mary Johnson.

Mrs. Glenn received her G.E.D. in 1968. In addition to being a homemaker she graduated top of her class from Nursing School at the age of 50 and had worked as a License Practical Nurse.

She was an active member of Hagerstown Bible Church. In addition to being a Sunday School teacher for many years, she and her husband, Edward served the Lord on several short-term mission trips which included, Mexico, Ecuador, Alaska, and Scotland.

Mrs. Glenn is survived by three daughters, Cleta F. Grant, Anna M. Hamby and Colleen J. Lewis (Gary); one brother, James D. Leiboldt; two sisters, Dorothy Garling and Patricia Kline; six grandchildren, Jared Hamby, Tony Rosario, David Rosario, Wendy Hamby, Michael Lewis and Monica Cardenas; sixteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, October 24, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Pastor Dale Carver officiating.

Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 P.M.
