Viola Margaret Manspeaker, 83, of Maugansville, passed away, Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at Charlotte's Home, Maugansville.
Born October 1, 1932 in State Line, Pa. she was the daughter of the late, Elmer F., Sr. and Anna Catherine (Spangler) Burger. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her loving husband, Elmer L. Manspeaker; a grandson, Edward D. Foerstel, Jr.; two brothers, Elmer F. Burger, Jr. and Howard Burger; two sisters, Catherine Oberholtzer and her identical twin, Virginia Hykes.
Mrs. Manspeaker was a member of the Waynesboro Seventh Day Adventist Church.
She was a cook at McCroy's Department Store and Avalon Manor Nursing Home, Hagerstown and a housekeeper and caregiver in private homes.
She is survived by one son, David Manspeaker and wife Robin of Clear Spring; three daughters, Donna Dearth of Maugansville, Glenda Shahan and husband Charles of Greencastle and Paula Foerstel and husband Edward of Hinesville, Ga.; one sister, Delorse Daley of Greencastle; five grandchildren, Heidi Herbert, Debra Vila, Zach Manspeaker, Justin Manspeaker and Jason Dearth; eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, June 20, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Rev. Ray
Valenzuela officiating.
Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
Friends will be received at the funeral one hour prior to services.
