Violet Rebecca "Becky" Hassler, 72, of Hagerstown, passed away, Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born December 8, 1941 in Hagerstown she was the daughter of the late Chester W. and Leafy Forrest (Shry) Blubaugh. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by one brother, Wade Blubaugh.
Mrs. Hassler retired with 40 years of service as a sales associate for Sears in Hagerstown.
She attended the First Baptist Church of Hagerstown.
She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Leon W. "Sonny" Hassler; three children, Sandy B. Shrader and husband Eddie, Jr. of Hagerstown, Steven D. Hassler and wife, Jackie of Keedysville and Scott A. Hassler and wife Diane of Williamsport; one brother, Richard Young and wife, Frances of Queenstown, Md.; three grandchildren, Andy Shrader, Matthew Hassler and Taylor Hassler; three step grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Pastor Thom Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 6-8 P.M.
