Violet Imogene Trumpower

Violet Imogene Trumpower, aged 98, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 14th, 2025. Born in Thurmont, MD in 1926, she was the daughter of Morris Baker and Leah Hammaker.

Violet is preceded in death by her parents, as well as her daughters Bonnie Hopkins and Linda Morelock.

She is survived by her loving husband of 79 years Homer Trumpower, son Kevin Trumpower and his wife Nolvis Trumpower, son-in-law Mark Morelock; 7 grandchildren, Shawn Moss, Brian Hopkins, Shannon Childress, Kimberly Ervick, Kelly Houser, Brent Trumpower, and Michael Trumpower; 18 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

Violet spent much of her childhood in Hagerstown, Maryland, where she met her husband. Later in life she and Homer raised their 3 children in Montgomery County and Anne Arundel County. After retiring, they spent many lovely years in Venice, Florida, before moving to Falling Waters, West Virginia to be near family. In addition to taking care of her family, Violet enjoyed cooking, sewing, golfing, reading, and playing dominoes with her friends.

Plans for a private celebration of life gathering will be determined by the family at a later time.
