Virginia B. Haines

Virginia Belle Haines, 97, of Falling Waters, West Virginia, passed away, Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at Julia Manor Health Care Center, Hagerstown.
Born January 17, 1917 in Augusta, W.Va. she was the daughter of the late, Wendell Lester and Ora Lillian (Saville) McBride; In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her husband, Preston E. Haines; one son, Calvin L. Haines and several brothers and sisters. Mrs. Haines was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
In addition to being a homemaker, she also had worked for Reynolds Orchard in Hoy W.Va. and National Fruit in Winchester, Va.
She is survived by one son, Ralph W. Haines of Falling Waters; one daughter, Vivian E. Smoot and husband Glenmore of Williamsport; four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and many great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday December 30, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with Associate Pastor Kevin L. Smoot officiating.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to services.
