Virginia Mae (Galliher) Brown, 84, of Hagerstown, died Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011, at Meritus Medical Center.
Born Feb. 26, 1927, in Cumberland, Md., she was the daughter of the late Pinkney and Agnes (Twigg) Galliher.
She was a member of Calvary Holiness Church in Hagerstown.
Virginia had worked as a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jack Edward Brown.
Virginia is survived by three sisters, Agnes M. Johnson, Helen L. Golden and Shirley A. Zeger, all of Clear Spring; two brothers, Vernon Galliher of Oldtown, Md., and Wilbert Galliher of Paw Paw, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Arley A. Galliher.
A funeral service will be Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Kent Keesecker officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday one hour before the service at the funeral home.
