Wanetta Mae Stearns

Wanetta Mae (Coleman) Stearns, 84, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Williamsport Retirement Village.
Born March 20, 1930 in Pitcairn, PA, she was the daughter of the late Abner L. and Millie I. (Fox) Coleman.
Wanetta was a 1948 graduate of Pitcairn High School.
She was a member of Broadfording Bible Brethren Church in Hagerstown.
Wanetta retired as a packer at Roper Eastern Products in Hagerstown.
She enjoyed reading and making ceramics. Wanetta had a love for animals and enjoyed donating money for their well being.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Lloyd Alvin Stearns, Sr., who passed away on Oct. 17, 2013; a grandson, baby boy Deneen; a great-grandson, Thomas Lloyd Stearns, Jr.; and a brother, Curtis Coleman.
She is survived by four children, Lloyd A. Stearns, Jr. and wife Linda of Inwood, WV, Sandra L. Stoner and husband Allen of Freeland, MD, Daniel H. Stearns and wife Sandy of Hopewell, VA, Patricia A. Churchey and fiance David of Bunker Hill, WV; seven grandchildren, Aney, April, Yvette, Heather, Tommy, Amanda, Jessica; 17 great-grandchildren, Bonnie, Bailey, Alexa, Zachary, Tory, Sidney, Wyatt, Allie, Nicole, Jared, Sophie, Chloe, Rozlynd, Aaron, Joshua, Rigo, David; two great-great grandchildren; and two sisters, Jean Terwilliger of Seattle, WA, and Virginia Burik of Williamsport.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00pm on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Bill Wyand officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Wanetta's name to the Humane Society of Washington County, 13011 Maugansville Rd, Hagerstown, MD 21740.
