Wayne Eugene Baker, Sr.

Wayne Eugene Baker, Sr., 87, of Hagerstown, Md, passed away on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Meritus Medical Center.
Born in Keedysville, Md on December 26, 1930, he was the son of the late Evelyn (Gifft) and Adrian Baker. In addition to his parents, Wayne is preceded in death by his loving wife, Ethel M. Buhrman Baker and his sister, Juanita Kees.
Wayne was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force where he served in the Korean War.
Wayne was a member of the Goodwill Athletic Association and the F.O.E. 694 here in Hagerstown. He loved fishing, mushroom hunting, gardening and his canine companion, Romeo.
He is survived by his son, Wayne E. Baker, Jr. and wife Jill; daughters, Eloisa Banes and husband Randy, Lisa Popp and special companion William Thatcher, and Adriana Miller and significant other, Brian Eiselman; 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 5, 2015 at Rest Haven Cemetery, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave Hagerstown, MD 21742.
A visitation will be held an hour prior in Rest Haven Funeral Home, Inc.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Wayne's name to the Humane Society of Washington County 13011 Maugansville Rd, Hagerstown, MD 21740.
