Wetonna June Tonne Carbaugh
November 4, 1924 — March 14, 2015
Wetonna June "Tonne" Carbaugh, 90, of Martinsburg, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at the Williamsport Retirement Center.
Born November 4, 1924 in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late Leroy Schoppert and Lovice M. (Offenbacker) Rind.
She was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Hagerstown and also member of the Pioneer's Club. Tonne loved to knit, crochet, read, and bake goodies for everyone.
She retired after 35 years with the C&P telephone company.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, John Allen Carbaugh, who passed away on April 30, 2009; her sister, Shirley (Rind) Smith; and her brother, Leroy S. Rind, Jr.
Tonne is survived by her loving daughter, Donna Marie Barbour and husband James, "Jim" Barbour Jr. of Martinsburg, WV; a grandson, James W. Barbour, III and wife Missy of Martinsburg and their children, Ben and Kaylee Barbour; a granddaughter, Tara Wilson and husband Brian of Hedgesville, WV and their daughter, Taylor Mauck; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10:30am on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 in Rest Haven Cemetery, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with Reverend Randy Reid officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made in Tonne's name to Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 802 Summit Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21740 or to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742.
